How It's Made
At Golden Butterfly Studios, we love and take pride in creating beautiful new designs and influencing ourselves by the beauty of life around us.
All of our creations first start off by a simple yet eloquent concept drawing. Once it is approved, we select all the materials and plan out all the details that go behind the modeling process of our design.
The modeling process is by far the most demanding and labor-some step, requiring absolute attention to detail from start to finish. The first step in the modeling process requires that our selected silk threads be oriented into a specific design shape over a template. We adhere these silk filigree threads over the template, loop, and trim them in accordance to each design we have.
Once the threads are overlaid, the excess template material is trimmed off and then we configure our design and make it appear more robust and life-like.
The last step is to take our product and adhere it onto a nice velvet background. At this point we add all of the final touches - crystals implanted in the head of the butterfly or into the bulbs or petals of a flower, adding antennae coming off the butterfly head, etc.
Once this has been done, the final product is then placed within a luxurious Italian wood shadow box and packaged out for delivery.
